A Big Thank You!
This year's Christmas Post fundraising was another resounding

area. Our thanks must go to all those who helped in this mammoth task.
As always, we received a number of cards addressed to premises outside
the Melton area. This year's record goes to a card addressed to someone
in Canada!

Foot and Mouth
The District Team has this evening taken the decision to close Howell
Pastures until further notice due to the Foot and Mouth crisis.
Therefore the working weekend planned for this
weekend is cancelled. The District Camp at the moment is still planned
to go ahead but a decision will be made early in May regarding this
event.
We have also taken the decision to cancel St
George's Day parade due to the movement of people from outlying areas.
This decision was not taken lightly and we shall reschedule the day for
later in the year.
The team feel both of these decisions although
very regrettable are in the interests of the community and will show the
local Scouts to be responsible members of the community.
If you have any questions or comments then please
contact your relevant ADC.
