36th Melton Beaver Colony
THE ONES, THE BEST IN MELTON

Diggit, ITV1's children's magazine programme broadcast on Saturday and Sunday mornings, are trying to break the world record for the longest line of footprints. They are calling it "Bare your sole for Tarzan".

To participate you have to draw around or print your foot in paint onto a piece of A4 paper and decorate it anyway you wish. You then write your name, age and shoe size in the bottom right-hand corner. On the back put your address. Dawn, our BSL has made some 36th Melton Mowbray Beaver Scout Colony stickers to make it a bit easier.

Diggit have a leaderboard for groups or families who send in their footprints. The 36th Beavers and their families send in 48 footprints, beating the previous highest of 33. On Saturday 17 November 2001, it was announced that they were top of the leaderboard, listed as Melton Mowbray Beaver Colony - THE ONES, THE BEST IN MELTON.
