Beavers

The 36th Beavers have their roots in the colony started by the 3rd Melton Mowbray Scout Group on 8 May 1984. It was one of the first colonies formed within the Melton Mowbray district.

In their 10th anniversary year, the 3rd Beavers took part in Cheeky Charlie's Crazy Colony Challenge. The poster below shows all of the challenges which were completed that year. Phew!

After completing all of the challenges the colony received a certificate certifying them crazy. This was reported in the local press to make sure that everyone in the area knew what a crazy bunch they were.
